Mr. G.R.K. Reddy - Promoter, Director (Non Independent)

A first generation entrepreneur, G.R.K. Reddy is the Chairman & Managing Director of MARG Ltd., a leading infrastructure development company in India.
Mr. Reddy completed his Advanced Executive Management Program from Kellogg Business School, USA. In the year 1985, he started his career as a Merchant Banker and joined CIFCO a premier merchant banking firm in the 1987 alongside JM Financials and DSP, who were the market leaders.

With astute business acumen learned from CIFCO he went on his own and founded MARG Constructions Ltd in 1994. He has been the Chairman of the Confederation of Indian Industries (CII) for its Chennai Zone. He is also a member of various councils like National Council on Infrastructure, National Council on Real Estate and Housing, CII Taskforce for building inclusive cities etc. wherein he has been giving valuable contributions.
Mr. Reddy is also nominated as a Chairman of Infra-2007 wherein he spearheaded the new development agenda for Chennai. The forum came out with a development plan famously called MAP, to transform Chennai into a world class city, which was readily appreciated by TN Government. Mr. Reddy is also the charter member of TIE (The Indus Entrepreneurs), and global network for fostering entrepreneurship.

Mrs. V P Rajini Reddy, Director (Non Independent)
Mrs. V. P. Rajini Reddy is a whole-time director of KPPL. She brings with her, a vast experience of 12 years in high-calibre management. She holds an Engineering degree from Sri Venkateswara University. In the year 1996, along with two Business partners, she set up a training center to cater the training needs of all the IT and ITES sectors like – Medical Transcription, Medical Billing, and Call Center etc. In 1999, she started Exemplarr (Previously known as RR Infotech), a BPO with her husband, Mr. GRK Reddy to offer services in the HealthCare sector and later diversified into various domains like document management services, Legal services and E-Publishing.

Mr. Karanjit Singh Jasuja, Director (Independent)
Mr. Singh is a fellow member of Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. He has been authoring articles on professional topics. He has held senior position in various industries. He is presently carrying on his practice as a Chartered Accountant. He has been advisor to all kind of Capital Market operations and is an expert on taxation and finance.

Dr. S. Narasimha Rao – Director (Independent), Technical Advisor
Dr. Rao has over 35 years of experience in the Marine Sector. A distinguished Professor with IIT, Chennai for ~ 30 years, he is Currently Director on the board of Dredging Corporation of India. He has coordinated the development works the Indo German Project and has been the project coordinator for more than 110 projects of CPWD, state PWD and major ports & harbors. He has also worked as the arbitrator for Marmugao Port Trust during 2001-2002 and Project at Mangalore during 2005-2006. He is a Civil Engineer from Andhra University and has a PHD in Soil Mech. from Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore

Dr Bala Balachandran – Director (Independent)
Dr. Bala is a world renowned management guru with over 40 years of teaching experience. He is currently J. I. Kellog’s Distinguished Professor of Accounting Information Systems and Decision Sciences & Director of the Accounting Research Center. Prof. Bala has been instrumental in setting up of MDI, Gurgaon & Great Lakes Institute of Management, Chennai. He was awarded the ‘Padmashri’ in 2001 by the Government of India in recognition of his contribution to the education in India.

Mr. Sachin Johri – Nominee Director ( Non-Executive) Professional,
Mr. Sachin Johri is currently the Managing Director - Investments of IDFC Project Equity. He has over 16 years of international experience with leading global financial institutions. He joined IDFC in May 2006 as the first member of the Indian Infrastructure Fund (IIF) team. He led the acquisition of the first three seed assets identified for IIF and also assisted in the structuring of IIF for the Indian market.
Prior to joining IDFC, He served as a Senior Vice President at Macquarie's Singapore Office where he was responsible for regional corporate finance and infrastructure business. He directed Macquarie's initiatives in the infrastructure sector in India for origination and execution of transactions.

Prior to Macquarie, he worked for Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein where he headed the project finance advisory and arranging business division. He worked with large number of multinational clients, helping them raise finance for large projects and also provided strategic and bid advice to both government and private investors. In 2000, he moved to the firm's Singapore office where he was responsible for regional project finance and financial restructuring business. Mr. Sachin commenced his career in 1992 with ICICI Ltd., Mumbai where he worked on first set of project financings in India. He was also an advisor to State Governments in their program to select bidders to develop large Independent Power Plants.

Mr. Sachin holds a Masters in Business Administration from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad and a B.Tech in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur.

Mr. M. L. N. Acharyulu, Executive Director – Marine Infrastructure
Mr. M. L. N. Acharyulu has 29 years of rich and varied professional experience in multi-disciplinary areas in different organisations at various levels, in the fields of Design Engineering, Project Appraisal, Project Management, Corporate Finance, Marketing, Corporate Planning & Strategies, HR, IT and Board Level Corporate Management.

Mr. Acharyulu worked with Crompton Greaves Ltd., Mumbai, SICOM Ltd., Mumbai and Godavari Fertilisers and Chemicals Ltd., Hyderabad (now Coromandel Fertilizers) before joining as Managing Director at QualCore Logic Pvt. Ltd., Hyderabad, a subsidiary of QualCore Group Inc. U.S. Prior to joining Marg Ltd, he was working as Executive Director with Conexant Systems Pvt. Ltd., Hyderabad, a subsidiary of Conexant Inc. U.S.
Mr. Acharyulu did M. Tech in Electrical Engineering from JNTU Kakinada, Masters in Financial Management from Jamanalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies, Mumbai and also AICWA. Mr. Acharyulu is currently Executive Director of Marine Infrastructure at Marg Ltd. and spearheads Karaikal Port and all other Marine Infrastructure projects.

Mr. V. Chellappan, Chief Technical Advisor (Marine Projects)
Mr. V. Chellappan having four decades of experience in “planning, Design and Construction of Ports and marine Structures” is an expert in the field of Ports and Harbour Engineering; with expertise in development of shipyards and Inland Waterways also.  He possesses a degree in Civil Engineering from University of Madras with a Post Graduate Diploma in Dock & Harbour Engineering from IIT, Mumbai and MS in Ocean Engineering from IIT, Chennai.

He started his career with Tuticorin Harbour Project in 1969 and served upto the level of Chief Engineer of Tuticorin Port Trust. Later he worked in Chennai Port as Chief Engineer cum Project Director (Ennore Port). He was also involved in the development of private ports like Kakinada & Machilipatnam. He was on special assignment as a Chief Manager (Projects) to modernize the age old Hindustan Shipyard, Vishakhapatnam which includes among other things the construction of largest covered dry dock in the country. He also served as Member (Technical) of Inland Waterways Authority of India, which develops the Inland Transport sector with challenging assignments in rivers like Ganga, Brahmaputra etc. He has served as consultant with L&T Ramboll as Chief Technical Advisor (Ports).

Capt Prasad Rebala - Sr. Vice President - Operations
Capt. Rebala is a Marine officer with over 31 years of sailing and International Experience. He has rich knowledge in Port Development Activities, Port Operations and Management. During his tenure he was associated with Shipping Corporation of India, OMI Corp – New York, Universal Tankers – New York, and his last assignment was with Ennore Port as General Manager - Marine Operations.
Capt Prasad Rebala has done his Masters in Mariner Class 1. He is a Member of the following:-

Mr. N. Suresh, Senior Vice President
B. Tech in Naval Architecture from IIT- Madras, Mr. Suresh was formerly Business Head at BGR Energy. He has over 18 years of experience in technical and financial analysis for various business ventures in the offshore construction and shipyard development. His earlier assignments were with National Ship Design & Research Centre India, Chokhani International Ltd & Western India Shipping Yard.

Mr. Ramamurthy Natarajan, Sr. Vice President, Finance 
Mr. Natarajan is a qualified Chartered Accountant (India), Project Management Professional (PMP) and Certified Public Accountant (USA), with over 18 years experience in areas of auditing, finance and accounts, IPO management, project funding. He has been associated with A.F.Ferguson, JFT Trading & Group Companies, Shriram Bioseed Genetics India Ltd and Empee Group of Companies, Chennai.

Capt. L. P. Raman, Vice President- Marine Planning
Capt. L. P. Raman has more than 30 years of experience in Port Operations, planning, development, maintenance, dredging and sea going experience on trading vessels. During his tenure, he was associated with M/s Blue Marine Shipping & trading Services Pvt. Ltd. and his last assignment was with J. M. Baxi & Co. as Sr. Vice President (marine Operations).

Mr. V.Raman, Head Projects
An alumni of IIT, Chennai, Mr. Raman has over 28 years of experience in areas of planning, management and execution of offshore marine Structures (Jetties, Berths, Coastal Protection Structures & Breakwaters) and onshore structures like Port Buildings, laying of railway tracks including overhead electrification works. Was associated with Ennore & Chennai Ports

Mr. Ramesh Kumar Kona, SGM Business Development
Mr. Kona is a Mechanical Engineer with over 15 years of multifaceted experience at various Major ports on East and West Coast of India. He has been involved with various functions such as Business development and overall Strategy Planning entailing shipping, voyage & vessels chartering, Port & Cargo operations and Logistics management (multimodal). His last assignment was as Head of Indian Shipping & Port Operations with SSMSPL, Indian subsidiary of GETAX Australia.

Mr P Jeyachandran, Head - Railways
Mr Jeyachandran has a Diploma in Rail Transport & Management and has over 30 years of supervisory/senior supervisory experience in Operations Dept of the Indian Railways (South Central & Southern). He is also an experienced Traffic Operations Controller & coordinator of a variety of train services and was also an accomplished Railway Controller/Station Master of multiple priorities.
